NCS Sugars Ltd - India's Leading Sugar Manufacturing Company
Nageswararao narayanam, a native of Vizianagaram, had started his journey in furthering his family business at a very tender age (teens) after completion of his post graduation (M.A.) from the Andhra University.
His father, Late Sri Narasimhamurthy, an ardent "Ram Bhakt" had toiled every sinew in making " NCS a brand house by venturing into various segments of business without ever forgetting the basic ideology (Imbibed from his father late "Sri Dharma Chalamaiah") of "Maanava seva is maadhava seeva" a well noted philanthropist of the district of Vizianagaram.
Nageswara Rao Narayanam, in his quest to further the business along with the ideals of his forefathers, had initially ventured into the "Liquid storage terminal tanks" which sector was taboo to the private sector till then, while continuing the family business. Huge facilities were established in the port cities of Kakinada and Karwar.
In his never satiating zeal to serve the native district of Vizianagaram, Nageswararao Narayanam had purchased the dilapidated state co-operative sugar mill located in bobbili which was put to auction by the a.P. State government in 2002.
Converted and expanded the same into a modern Sugar mill with a capacity of 5000 tcd besides erecting a 20 mw power plant to satiate the power needs of the 60 odd villages surrounding the sugarmill at a huge investment of 200 cr.
In his constant pursuit to excel in areas never / little explored, he visualized converting NCS Sugar mill into the only mill that manufactures "organic sugar" totally.
Hence, made lots of studies and research in this direction and found an able ally in "Padmasri Sri Subhash Palekar" who himself had done huge research in "Zero Budget Natural Farming".
NCS under the guidance of Nageswara Rao, conducted a number workshops in many locations across their command area comprising of 820 odd villages so as to enlighten the sugarcane farmer in the concept of "Less investment and more productivity" . The multiple benefits of "Desi Cow" are also explained besides providing these desi cows free of cost to such of those farmers who show willingness to produce "Organic sugarcane" without using any of the conventional manures.
Though the road ahead is not all smooth and bump free, but "The never say die" attitude he possesses, Nageswararao Narayanam has now made it his life's ambition to make ncs sugars ltd as the one and only sugar mill in the country which produces 100 % organic sugar. The day might not be far off.
